Cayó is a Caribbean wellness retreat located in the mountains of the Dominican Republic.
Influenced by the Tainos Language, That’s where the name of this project comes from.
CAYÓ, a Taino de-rived word, meaning small island in the waters.
The northern coast, Samana Peninsula of the Dominican Republic is one of the most unspoiled parts of the island. The island and the peninsula were the home to various pre-Columbian natives including the Taino.
Design Elements
Creating an emotional connection between the hotel and our potential guests is an important key point.
Design Concept
Our design is inspired by the waterfalls of the Dominican Republic, especially the Damajagua Waterfalls in Puerto Plata.
